WELLESLEY, Mass. — Maine Maritime Academy women's swimming & diving sophomore
Abigail Cormier opened the Little East Conference Swimming & Diving Championship with a sixth-place finish in the 3-meter diving event.
Cormier posted a score of 257.15 to finish sixth, trailing Riley Mahoney of Husson University who finished fifth with a 312.15.
Bridgewater State University claimed the top four spots with Calley Simard winning the event with a 468.70.
The Mariners return for day 2 of the LEC championship on Friday with a start time of 10 a.m. from the Boston Sports Institute.
