CASTINE, Maine — The Maine Maritime Academy volleyball team announced its 2026 schedule on Thursday, featuring 26 matches, nine of which will be played at home in Smith Gym.

"We are super excited about our competitive schedule this season," head volleyball coach Jessany Petricevic said! "We are ready to hit the ground running."

The Mariners begin the upcoming season on the road at the Maine Coast Classic, facing the University of New England on Sept. 4 before battling Dean College and the University of Southern Maine on Sept. 5.

MMA then competes at the MIT Invitational, playing the University of Scranton on Sept. 11 before facing host Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Brandeis University on Sept. 12.

The Mariners face Colby College on Sept. 16 before competing at the Gordon Invitational. MMA opens the invitational against host Gordon College on Sept. 18 before playing a doubleheader against Wheaton College and St. Lawrence University on Sept. 19.

The Mariners battle Bowdoin College on the road Sept. 22 before hosting Bates College for Homecoming on Sept. 26.

MMA begins North Atlantic Conference play Oct. 3 with a road doubleheader against Husson University before hosting Lesley University for a doubleheader Oct. 10.

Maine Maritime takes on the University of Maine at Presque Isle for a doubleheader Oct. 17 before hosting the University of Maine at Fort Kent on Oct. 21. The Mariners will then host Vermont State University Johnson for a Military Appreciation Day doubleheader on Oct. 24.

Following the Johnson matchup, MMA travels to Vermont State University Lyndon for a doubleheader Oct. 31 before closing out the 2026 regular season with a Senior Night doubleheader against Thomas College on Nov. 3.

The Mariners conclude the 2026 slate with an exhibition matchup against the University of Maine at Augusta on Nov. 6.
