What made you come to Maine Maritime Academy?: The close knit community and the ability to be apart of an ABET accredited program.
What first got you interested in your sport?: My friends and I were trying to start a club at my high school and I wanted to try something new.
What has been your favorite class at MMA?: My favorite class at MMA has hands down been either Med Care or Thermodynamics 2.
What is the best advice your coach has given you?: "You put in what you put out"
What motivates you to succeed?: My parents.
What is your prized possession?: My first pair of figure skates.
What is your favorite book? (Non-academic): The Hunger Games.
What is something that people would be surprised to learn about you?: I was a figure skater for 12 years.
What are your hopes for the future?: I hope to sail out for five years and upgrade my license and travel the world.
What is your favorite spot in Castine/on Campus? Why?: I love the backshore. There is nothing like driving down there to sit and watch probably the most beautiful sunsets in the world. This will most likely be one of the things I miss most about MMA.
What advice do you have for incoming freshman?: Coming in as a freshman in a regimental program you need to keep an open mind. You will go through RPT and it will really stink, but stick with it the reward in the end is worth it.
What has been your favorite moment so far while playing at MMA?: I have two favorite moments while playing MMA lacrosse. My first moment is scoring my first goal freshman year against Norwich and my second is beating Husson last year!
What are three things you have with you at all times?: My phone, my wallet and my Apple Watch.
Tell us about something outside of MMA and athletics that you are really interested in: I really like cooking and baking. If I can make something that tastes good and I can share it with people who I care about, that really puts a smile on my face.
Who is your favorite professional athlete? Why?: Kristi Yamaguchi, because she is very passionate about her sport and she was always willing to try new things.
