What made you come to Maine Maritime Academy? The small niche feeling of the campus and the many hands on opportunities made available to students.
What first got you interested in your sport? I grew up around my parents coaching it, so when I was old enough I started clinics and fell in love with the sport.
What has been your favorite class at MMA? Organic Chemistry.
What is the best advice your coach has given you? "You only have so many fricks to give, use them wisely."
What motivates you to succeed? My teammates.
What is your prized possession? My sister and brothers.
What is your favorite book? (Non-academic) A Long Walk to Water.
What is something that people would be surprised to learn about you? I want to go to space one day.
What are your hopes for the future? To ship out on a marine research vessel.
What is your favorite spot in Castine/on Campus? Why? I love being out on the water on the different vessels, anything from the Friendship to a launch.
What has been your favorite moment so far while playing at MMA? Loosing against Bates in five sets, yeah we may have lost but I have never felt so proud of my team in how hard everyone pushed themselves to compete against another great team. It was just an amazing game.
Tell us about something outside of MMA and athletics that you are really interested in: I love hiking and hope to hike the entire Appalachian Trail one day.
Who is your favorite professional athlete? Why? Benjamin Patch because he's just inhuman.
