What made you come to Maine Maritime Academy? I came to Maine Maritime Academy because it allowed me to pursue a sport I loved while getting a great education from a school that will give me the tools to succeed.
What first got you interested in your sport? I was always told I should play ball because I was tall, so one day I tried it and fell in love. I loved that basketball wasn't just about talent. If you worked hard and just practiced, you get better and better each day.
What has been your favorite class at MMA? Business Logistics.
What is the best advice your coach has given you? The best gift you can give someone is time.
What motivates you to succeed? My family.
What is your prized possession? My seaglass.
What is your favorite book? (Non-academic) Me Before You.
What is something that people would be surprised to learn about you? I have four siblings and all of our initials are A.M.H.
What are your hopes for the future? My hopes are to get a job in the Logistics or Supply Chain Field.
What is your favorite spot in Castine/on Campus? Why? My favorite spot is Dyce Head lighthouse. I love going for a run to there and watching the sunset and the ocean on the rocks.
What is a cause that is important to you? The Ronald McDonald House.
What advice do you have for incoming freshman? Don't be afraid to ask! Whether it's just a question or you need help, you don't have to do it on your own.
