What made you come to Maine Maritime Academy?: I chose Maine Maritime Academy because of the hands-on lab learning experience, the atmosphere and for the opportunity to play lacrosse.
What first got you interested in your sport?: I picked up lacrosse for the challenge of learning how to play a new sport and for the opportunity to be a part of a team.
What has been your favorite class at MMA?: Organic Chemistry with Professor Baer.
What is the best advice your coach has given you?: The best advice that my coach has given me was to stop apologizing for mistakes made in practice and to focus on the play ahead
What motivates you to succeed?: Setting personal goals while having the support of my friends and family motivate me to succeed everyday.
What is your prized possession?: My prized possession would probably be my speaker because there is not a minute in the day that I am not listening to music
What is your favorite book? (Non-academic): The Outsiders written by S.E. Hinton.
What is something that people would be surprised to learn about you?: I think most people would be surprised that I had heart surgery when I was four.
What are your hopes for the future?: I hope to be a Captain one day while exploring the world and its oceans.
What is your favorite spot in Castine/on Campus? Why?: My favorite spot in Castine would be the docks on the waterfront because of all the starfish you can see and hold.
Which teammate has had the biggest impact on you? Why?: Cat Mahoney has had the biggest impact on me because she is a great leader. When I have questions during practice or even about school she is always willing to help by giving tips and showing me the correct way to do things. Cat is just a great teammate to have in general!
Tell us about something outside of MMA and athletics that you are really interested in: Outside of MMA and athletics I really enjoy baking cookies and making truffles.
