BRUNSWICK, Maine – Women's cross country placed seventh at the Bowdoin Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
Husson's Chrissy Larrabee captured the individual win with a time of 23:23.51, followed by Lucy Skinner from Bowdoin with a time of 23:33.81. Bates College placed five of the top 10 runners to capture the team victory with a final score of 29.
The Mariners were led by Caroline Martin (Scarborough, Maine) who placed 71st overall, with a time of 29:03.01, followed by Hannah Page (Hutchinson, Kan.) who placed 83rd with a time of 31:45.31.
Elin Sonesson (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) placed 86th, followed by Kristine Mehuren (Searsmont, Maine) who finished 89th.
Running on their first 6k course of the year, the Mariners had a combined team score of 215.
Maine Maritime will return to action on Saturday, October 4th where they will split the team and travel to Keene State for the Keene State Invitational, and Colby College for the Colby Invitational.
