POULTNEY, Vt. – Maine Maritime Academy upended Green Mountain College, 66-17, in North Atlantic Conference women's basketball action on Friday evening at the Eagle Dome. 

Green Mountain closed the Mariner lead to 9-8 on an Allison Wadsworth jump shot early in the game, but Maine Maritime outscored the Eagles 27-2 to close out the first half, taking a 36-10 lead into the halftime. The Mariners never looked back, cruising to a 66-17 victory, to claim the season sweep over the Eagles. 

Kristi Willey (Topsham, Maine) scored a game-high 15 points to lead the Mariners, adding 11 rebounds to grab the double-double, and three blocks. Mackenzie Vosburgh (Rhinebeck, N.Y.) added 14 points and 10 rebounds of her own to pick up the double-double off the bench. Mary Badeen (Newport, Maine) chipped in with 13 points, three rebounds, three steals and a block.

Green Mountain (0-16, 0-11 NAC) had just one player in double figure points as Torie Cowell posted 10 points and 12 rebounds for her own double-double. Hayley Provost also posted double-digit rebounds with 10.

Maine Maritime (8-10, 5-6) travels to Castleton tomorrow for another North Atlantic Conference matchup at 3:00 p.m.
