Huntwork, Forry, Dagan, Blanchard, Lyle earn women’s basketball All-Conference honors

WATERVILLE, Maine — The North Atlantic Conference announced its women's basketball post-season honors on Wednesday and Maine Maritime Academy had five players recognized along with head coach Craig Dagan and his staff earning coaching staff of the year honors. 

Senior Grace Huntwork headlined the postseason honors earning senior scholar athlete of the year. Huntwork finished the season averaging 5.8 points per game and 1.7 rebounds. Huntwork posted four assists, 10 steals and one block and shot .418 from 3-point range. 

Off the court, Huntwork maintains a 3.83 grade point average in power engineering technology with a minor in environmental sustainability. During 2024 and 2025, Huntwork completed a two-year internship with Omaha Public Power District with the Protection and Automation Engineering Department and has been working 25+ hours per week remotely during both her junior and senior academic years. A Pen Pal with the Adams School and Penobscot School students, Huntwork has worked with Dribble Kids, volunteered back home at her local church doing summer and start/end of the year events. Additionally, Huntwork served on the committee overseeing the end of the year athletics ceremony for two years, was a three-year Bocce Ball Tournament volunteer, two-year member of SAAC, serves as part of the on-campus leadership program, a tutor at the Bouy House, ran women's cross country and has been a three-year youth basketball coach during school breaks. 

Sophomore Addison Forry was voted to the all-conference first team, finishing the season averaging 11.0 points and 10.4 rebounds per game. Finishing as the only player in the NAC to average a double-double on the season. Forry ranked tops in the NAC in rebounds per game, 12th in points per game, 19th in assists per game and 14th in steals per game. Forry finished with 49 assists, second on the team with 32 steals and added 12 blocks. Additionally, Forry was named NAC defensive player of the week twice.

Senior Evelyn Dagan took home second-team recognition after finishing second on the team with 10.6 points per game, ranking 15th in the NAC in points per game. Dagan averaged 3.4 rebounds per game with 25 assists, 21 steals and 17 blocks. Additionally, Dagan became the 12th player in program history to surpass 1,000-career points and broke the all-time 3-point record. Dagan shot .337 from behind the 3-point arc and led the NAC with 2.5 3-point field goals per game. 

Junior Hailey Blanchard was named to the all-conference third team, finishing the season averaging 9.4 points and 6.2 rebounds per game as a guard. Blanchard ranked second in the NAC with 3.9 assists per game and a team-high 98 on the season. Additionally, Blanchard ranked 15th in the NAC with 1.5 steals per game and added 13 blocked shots. 

 Additionally, junior Laney Lyle was named to the conference sportsmanship team.
