Mariners Defeat Scots; Fall to Chargers

NEW LONDON, N.H. – Maine Maritime Academy women's swimming defeated Gordon College 120-82 and fell to Colby-Sawyer 154-52 on Saturday afternoon in the Knight Natatorium on the campus of Colby-Sawyer College.

Meet Highlights:
• The relay team of Tamra Miller (South Thomaston, Maine), Ellie Gellerson (Blue Hill, Maine), Hannah Butland (Cumberland, Maine), and Samantha Durkin (Green Lane, Pa.) placed third in the 200 yard medley relay with a time of 2:12.10
Milo Cook-Sharp (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) won the 1000 yard free with a time of 12:46.89
• Miller placed third in the 200 yard free with a time of 2:19.82
• Miller finished second in the 200 yard IM with a time of 2:38.67
• Miller placed third in the 100 yard back with a time of 1:12.81
• The relay team of Butland, Cook-Sharp, Durkin and Audrey Aragon (Miami, Fla.) finished third in the 400 yard free relay with a time of 4:30.48

The Mariners return to action on Wednesday, January 29, when they host Husson in a dual meet at 5:00 PM in Bok Pool.
