CASTINE, Maine – Chad Bartlett was introduced as Maine Maritime Academy's Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine on Monday, June 10 by Director of Athletics, Steve Peed.
"I am extremely excited and honored to take on this role for the Sports Medicine department," said Bartlett. "I have grown to appreciate the MMA athletic department's drive and commitment to its athletes and I look forward to continuing to provide the best care and experience to our dedicated student-athletes."
Bartlett served the Academy as a contracted, certified athletic trainer from Northern Light Health (NLH) during the 2023-2024 academic year under the direction of Interim Director of Sports Medicine, Cassie Lapple.
"We are tremendously excited to bring Chad in under the Academy's roof," said Peed. "He was an instrumental component in establishing a highly professional and highly welcoming environment for the Academy's student-athletes and having that continuity was incredibly important to our sustained success in this area of the operation."Â Â

As an undergraduate at Maine-Presque Isle (UMPI), he interned at both Colby and Husson and worked the University of Maine Football team.
