WORCESTER, Mass.--On Saturday, the Maine Maritime Academy men's wrestling team traveled here to compete against host Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Wesleyan University in a tri-match at the WPI Sports & Recreation Center. The Mariners fell to the Engineers, 54-3, but no team score is available yet with the Cardinals.

Kyle Stickel led the way for Maine Maritime with a pair of wins including his 174-pound bout over WPI'sÂ
John-Michael Economos, a 17-11 decision. Stickel also won an exhibition match against Gavin Luciano of WPI with a fall in 4 minutes and 56 seconds.

Bradford Zajac and freshmanÂ
Gregory Brunk also picked up pins over their opponents at 165 and 184 pounds, respectively.
After an idle weekend, the Mariners hit the mat again on Saturday, Jan. 25 (9:30 a.m.), at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, R.I.
