BRISTOL, R.I. — The Maine Maritime Academy women's swimming & diving team finished fourth at the Roger Williams Invite on Saturday.
The Mariners recorded 71 points, trailing Bridgewater State University (95), Eastern Connecticut State University (233), and host Roger Williams University, who won the invite with 657 points.

Claire MacDonald, and senior
Kylie Cantlon opened the day for the Mariners with a fourth-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay, clocking a time of 2:14.39.
Freshman
Marin Griffin was the Mariners' top finisher in the 200-yard freestyle, placing 14th with a time of 2:14.17, followed by senior
Rayelle Brewer in 15th at 2:15.42.
Sophomore
Natalie Cady finished 14th in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:39.08, just ahead of MacDonald, who placed 15th in 2:39.75.
Griffin also placed 13th in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 28.62, while Brewer touched in at 28.87.
MacDonald was the Mariners' top performer in the 100-yard butterfly, posting a time of 1:09.39. Brewer added a 17th-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 1:04.78.
Griffin notched an 11th-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 6:10.35, while freshman
Avery Fraga placed 14th in 6:15.17.
The Mariners' team of Fraga, Griffin, Brewer, and Metzker placed fourth in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:55.68.
In the 100-yard backstroke, Metzker (1:13.83), Cady (1:14.75), and MacDonald (1:15.89) finished 13th, 14th, and 15th, respectively.
In the 100-yard breaststroke,
Kate Griffin and Cantlon recorded times of 1:28.92 and 1:29.74, respectively.
MacDonald, Fraga, Brewer, and Cantlon closed out the meet with a third-place finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay, recording a time of 4:21.16.
The Mariners travel to Vermont next weekend for meets against Norwich University on Saturday and Saint Michael's College on Sunday.
