NORTH PROVIDENCE, R.I. — The Little East Conference announced its weekly men's swimming & diving awards on Monday and Maine Maritime Academy senior Oliver Cox earned diver of the week, while freshman Connor Hedstrom captured rookie swimmer of the week honors.

Cox won the one-meter, six-dive event against Norwich University with a score of 248.25 and won the one-meter diving event against Saint Michael's College and Bridgewater State University with a score of 241.00 and the three-meter diving event with a score of 247.05

Hedstrom put together an impressive weekend in the pool, setting a program record with a time of 54.71 in the 100-yard IM against Norwich, won the 50-yard backstroke at 24.79 and swam the anchor leg of the Mariners winning 400-yard freestyle relay team. Additionally, Hedstrom won the 50-yard freestyle against Saint Michael's and BSU with a time of 22.07 and finished second in the 100-yard freestyle at 49.20.
