NORTH PROVIDENCE, R.I. — The Little East Conference announced its weekly men's swimming & diving awards on Monday and Maine Maritime Academy senior Oliver Cox was crowned diver of the week, while freshman Connor Hedstrom took home swimmer and rookie swimmer of the week honors.

Cox won both the one-meter, six-dive and the one-meter, five-dive events in the Mariners weekend sweep over Keene State College and Husson University, scoring a 214.15 in the six-dive event and a 156.05 in the five-dive to secure his second-straight diver of the week honor.

Hedstrom swam the leadoff leg of the Mariners second-place 200-yard medley relay team clocking a 24.83, while winning the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 55.87, the 100-yard butterfly at 53.40 and the 200-yard IM with a mark of 2:06.54. Hedstrom captured his first swimmer of the week honor and second-straight rookie swimmer of the week accolade.
