WATERVILLE, Maine — The North Atlantic Conference announced its 2025-26 women's basketball preseason coaches' poll on Wednesday, with Maine Maritime Academy selected as the preseason favorite.
The Mariners topped the poll with 98 points and all nine first-place votes. SUNY Cobleskill followed with 83 points, while Husson University (82), the University of Maine at Farmington (76), and Thomas College (57) rounded out the top five.
Vermont State University Lyndon received 40 points, followed by the University of Maine at Presque Isle and Lesley University, who tied with 35 points. Vermont State University Johnson (31) and SUNY Delhi (13) completed the preseason rankings.
Maine Maritime opens its season on the road against Saint Joseph's College of Maine on Nov. 12, with tipoff set for 7 p.m.
