WATERVILLE, Maine — The Maine Maritime Academy women's swimming & diving team returned to the pool Friday for the opening day of the Maine State Intercollegiate Championship hosted by Colby College.

Rayelle Brewer posted a time of 1:48.66.

Claire MacDonald turned in the top MMA result in the 50-yard butterfly, touching in 28.05.
MacDonald made program history in the 50-yard butterfly, clocking a 28.05 to break the program record.
In the 50-yard breaststroke, Metzker and sophomore
Kate Griffin finished back-to-back with times of 37.47 and 37.57. MacDonald added another team-leading performance in the 200-yard IM, clocking a 2:26.32, while Metzker recorded a 32.24 in the 50-yard backstroke.
Brewer delivered Maine Maritime's top sprint time of the day, swimming a 26.70 in the 50-yard freestyle.

Hannah Hills, MacDonald, and B Boyer combined for a time of 4:08.13.
