BLOOMINGTON, Minn.--For the third time in four weeks, a Maine Maritime Academy women's basketball student-athlete has been named to the D3hoops.com National Team of the Week presented by Scoutware, the media outlet that covers NCAA Division III basketball announced late Monday. Senior guard Erianna Moore (Fitchburg, Mass./Worcester Academy) becomes the first Mariner ever to be selected twice in the same season as she also earned the award on Feb. 11.

Moore led Maine Maritime to its third consecutive North Atlantic Conference championship berth with 23 points and six assists per game in two NAC Tournament wins. She also averaged eight rebounds, shot 60% from the field, made 7 of 14 three-point attempts, and had a 4.0 assist-to-turnover ratio. She highlighted her week with a season-high 32 points (13-18 FGs, 5-7 3FGs) to lead all scorers in a win over rival Husson, 88-59, as MMA set the highest scoring mark in the 49-game series for either side and its largest-ever margin of victory over the Eagles.

In January, fellow senior Sydney Briscoe made her debut on the Scoutware/D3hoops.com National Team of the Week. Briscoe and Moore give Maine Maritime two D3TOW honorees in the same year for the first time since 2007, as the Mariners receive the seventh citation (five individuals) in program history--nearly half occurring this season alone. With Curt Heinz making MMA men's basketball history last month, MMA has a combined four award winners in the same season to increase the most in Academy history. (D3TOW all-time award listings

This is the 28th season that D3hoops.com has selected the Team of the Week, which honors the top player nationally at each position from the previous week.

The Mariners are in Cobleskill, N.Y., on Saturday to square off against SUNY-Cobleskill in the NAC championship game. The opening tip is scheduled for 1 p.m., with MMA vying for its third crown in a row.
