Erianna Moore and
Sydney Briscoe have earned all-state recognition from the Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association, the MWBCA announced on Thursday. Moore is a guard out of Fitchburg, Mass./Worcester Academy), and was placed on the first team, while Briscoe (Englewood, N.J./Immaculate Conception Montclair High School), a forward, was named to the second unit.
Last month, both Briscoe and Moore were selected to the
All-North Atlantic Conference First Team, with the latter also deemed the 2025 NAC Defensive Player of the Year. Maine Maritime tied Bowdoin and Saint Joseph's colleges for the most MWBCA All-State honorees with two.
Moore led the Mariners in scoring with 12.4 points per game on 42.6 percent shooting from the field (113-265), 38.2 from the three-point line (50-131) and 78.6 from the free throw stripe (33-42). She also led MMA with 4.5 assists and 6.3 rebounds per game, as well as assist-to-turnover ratio (+2.1) for 21st in NCAA Division III. The two-time
Scoutware/D3hoops.com National Team of the Week honoree who surpassed 1,000 career points this season collected two NAC weekly certificates (1 POW, 1 DPOW). She is a three-time All-NAC performer including first team in back-to-back seasons, and
MWBCA Player of the Week.
Briscoe led MMA with a 9.9 rebounding average. A two-time NAC Defensive Player of the Week,
MWBCA Player of the Week and
D3TOW honoree, she averaged 11.9 points and shot a team-best .811 free throw percentage (86-106). She established career highs for points (332), blocked shots (21), rebounds (277; 34th in NCAA III), free throw and field goal percentage (.577; 123-213), while ranking 32nd in Division III with 12 double-doubles
Maine Maritime was the NAC East Division champion to reach its third-consecutive championship game berth and won the East Division title with a 13-0 conference record. The Mariners recorded a 23-5 overall record for their fifth-straight 20-win season (excluding 2021 COVID-19 year).
