ELMIRA, N.Y.--On Sunday, the Maine Maritime Academy women's wrestling team traveled to the campus of Elmira College to square off against the host Soaring Eagles and New England College for a tri-match in Speidel Gymnasium on Pat Thompson '75 Court.

Maine Maritime fell to a veteran Elmira squad 50-0, and freshman Gabriella Bowes and sophomore Isa Thesing had forfeit wins in the Mariners' 34-10 loss to the Pilgrims.

Maine Maritime is scheduled to return to Elmira later this month for the National Collegiate Women's Wrestling Championship Northeast Region 1 Qualification on Feb. 23-25.
