LEWISTON, Maine — The Maine Maritime Academy women's swimming & diving team competed Friday night in a relay meet against Bates College and the University of New England.
The Mariners turned in several strong performances throughout the non-traditional relay format, highlighted by a third-place finish from their "A" squad in the 200-yard backstroke relay. The team of freshmen

Maine Maritime also placed third in the 500-yard freestyle relay, as freshman

In the 100-yard freestyle underwater relay, MMA's "A" team of Fraga, MacDonald, Metzker and Cantlon finished fourth overall, while the Mariners posted sixth- and eighth-place finishes in the 200-yard freestyle relay to close the meet.
Maine Maritime is back in action on the road Feb. 12 at the Little East Conference Championship.
