NORTHFIELD, Vt. — The Maine Maritime Academy women's wrestling team returned to the mat on Saturday falling 40-5 against Norwich University and 39-6 to Felician University.
In the Mariners dual against Felician, sophomore
Kylie Coxon competed at 124 falling by pin, while sophomore
Daniela Myers competed at 145 falling by tech fall.
Freshman
Mary Smith put the Mariners on the board at 160, winning by pin in the first period, while junior
Isa Thesing competed at 180, freshman
Kelly Malcolm at 207 and senior
Piper Baumgarten competed at 145 in an exhibition match.
Against Norwich, Thesing picked up the Mariners lone victory winning by pin in the first period.
Next up for the Mariners in the D3 National Invitation on Feb. 7 in Rock Island, Ill.
