Clark, was a three-year starter for both football and basketball. A two-way player in football, Clark was an outstanding defensive lineman who excelled in stopping the run and causing turnovers. In basketball, he set scoring records and was an excellent jump shooter. Clark served as a multi-year captain for both the basketball and football teams. Coach John Hoctor was quoted as saying “Barry, you are a unanimous selection as guard on my all-time MMA football team".
